Delhi Power that’s working as my alarm
I was really having problem to wake up early in the morning, even my alarm watch was not working, but from few days Delhi power is working as my alarm. In this blazing hot no one can keep on sleeping if there is power cut. Exactly this is happening since a week ago. It has been a like their routine to cut the power around 8, which has really helped me wake up in the right time.
..Want to be a PR of my own country
“The political instability and the ongoing situation of my country has made me run from here and there. I want to live in my own country and want to ask the leaders if I can be a Permanent Resident of my own country.” my friend told me when I met him on Facebook the other day. He was in several countries for years and came back Nepal about an year ago. He now decided not to go anywhere so opened a small business in Kathmandu but because of the so called Banda situation has become even worst. Seeing all this, he feels like going abroad again but his question was “Till when he’ll be doing this fugitive run?”. It’s not just his personal story but many of us who are not living in Nepal must be feeling the same.
We rinsed the cooked vegetables!!!
Vegetable is normally rinsed before it is cooked but do you believe we used to rinse it even after it’s cooked? I guess you must be thinking why did we do that? It’s really very funny story.
This was our, me and Laba dai, regular routine. Believe me, there was not a single day when we did not do it. Today Laba dai made me remember this 5 years old story by nudging me on meebo. It was really great talking to him after a long time. He was my first room mate in Delhi when I was here for my grad degree at Delhi University.
Well, I was talking about rinsing the vegetables. Actually, our dormitory did not have any canteen so we had to order food from dhaba, kind of restaurant which provides lunch and dinner. Their food used to be so spicy and hot we just could not eat it. Finally an idea came to our mind why should not rinse it. LOL!!! it’s really bad to eat vegetable that’s rinsed, no taste at all. The sad fact was that every dhaba had same spicy food. I just can’t explain how terrible time that was.
She is missing
She is missing everyday, not only a few but quite a few. Few more will be added to the graph till I complete this post and I don’t know how many till you read this.
Millions of girl children are already missing in India alone. Probably missing would not be the correct word, let’s say pushing to death before actually getting a life. Yes, I am talking about female foeticide. You must be amazed to learn that the ratio of female foeticide is higher in urban areas than in rural areas and in educated families than in illiterate families. Perhaps this fact has made it more difficult to improve the situation, if it happened in rural or the illiterate family we could run some awareness program to stop it. So the personal effort seems to be the only way reduce this rate, we must strongly oppose if anyone in our family is about to take this inhuman step.
If every one of us takes an oath not to let her miss before she appears, we will get a lot of other Mother Teresa and Florence Nightingale. It’s true, missing a miss is missing the bliss!!!
Dinosaurizing Tigers
Though there is no such word “dinosaurizing” but I just used it to indicate that the existence of tiger is in danger and you never know a day may come when our future generation will be watching some “Jurassic Park” kind of movie on tigers. But don’t worry, they won’t have much confusion about the existence about tigers because we already have enough evidence about them. But the better idea is to save the tiger itself than to save its evidence in videos.
Are you aware that only few thousand tigers are left in this world and this number is decreasing every year? Every component of an environment is equally important. Every living organism interacts with every other element in its local environment. If any of its member suffers, the rest of the members will also be affected in someway. Just imagine, what could happen if a member just died out completely?
There are a lot of initiatives going on to save this beautiful creation of the nature. Let’s make everyone aware of it. Every small step can make a difference.

Prepaid phone saves forest!!
Are you confused by the title? I am sure you must be thinking how a prepaid phone can save forest? But believe me, if you are a prepaid mobile phone user you have certainly helped to save forest to some extent but if you are a Post-paid users then you are also little responsible for deforestation indirectly. The ratio of deforestation is directly proportion to the number of calls you make through your post paid number.
Now let me explain this, today I saw a very attractive multi-colored envelop on my desk, it was a telephone bill of my friend. It suddenly brought an advertisement to my attention. It’s a cell company advertisement which tells a number of ideas on how we can save papers to reduce deforestation, and believe me it’s truly innovative. But the fact is millions of papers are being wasted every month just to issue the Post-Paid bills of telephones all over the world.
I quickly tore his telephone bill envelop, well it was quite thick in size which was of course made of paper again, without his permission. Actually I just became restless to see how many papers was wasted inside. It was a four-page bill, more number of calls means more number of details and more number of details means more number of pages to be used. Hence, more the call you make more the money and tree you waste.
I really don’t think it necessary to send a customer bill when it’s already sent in an electric form. Yes, you may be right there if you think not everyone has internet access. For that we can do like send paper bills only to them who don’t have access to internet. If this is done, certainly hundreds of trees will be saved every year.
Li’l busy
I just could not write anything on my blog since a couple of weeks ago. Actually, I am little busy thesedays with my new website that’s coming soon. I am really hopeful that it will be useful to the people. Well, I will certainly tell more about it soon. Lately I am engaged in programming where still few functionalities are to be added which of course will be followed by a good amount of testing just to make sure that everything is on place.
